The Hat (and our trip to NC)

What, did you think we were going to reference this blue hat with tassles and not give a picture?  Here are a few from our trip to Sapphire Valley, NC last weekend.  It was a bit chilly (notice the snow in the last photo) but we managed to do some hiking, shoot some hoops, and play mini golf.  Thanks to Grandpa and Cathy for letting us use the time share (and for leaving balloons!).

Father's Day

This past weekend marked B's first Father's Day. And, as an added treat, it coincided with one of K's 4 days off of the month. So we headed off to Dunkin Donuts for some breakfast, and then to go on Luke's first hike. We went early to avoid the 97 degree highs that have been the norm lately in Atlanta. We made it quite a ways before we got real hot and cranky, about 3 and half miles total. Then, we had the perfect afternoon after such a morning-- a nap on the couch, as we half watched the US Open.

Hiking is Tiring!
