Catching Up

As our more frequent visitors have probably noticed, it's been a while since we made a post. K has gone back to work, for her final month-plus of residency. Unfortunately, the month of June has meant a rotation in the ICU, with 30 hour shifts and very few days off. But, we've been able to recruit Luke's grandmothers and aunts to help out with this month, in week-long stints. And the help has been great!

Luke is regularly sleeping through the night, and his parents couldn't feel more lucky to have such a great son. He is a professional tummy time athlete now and his smiles and little baby laughs will just melt your heart. He still really enjoys his walks around the neighborhood, playing with his friend Errol the butterfly who lives in his playgym and reading his favorite library books.

Luke's 2 month pediatrician visit clocked him at 23 1/2 inches and 12 pounds 11 ounces. His height is 75-90th percentile (apparently he got lucky and is taking after his Dad in this regard) and his weight is 75th percentile. Luke got FIVE shots plus one oral vaccine at this visit and Dad said Mom had to take him to the next doctor's appt because he didn't want to hold his hand and see his sad face again after so many shots!
